Two years ago, I began a transition to a more hybrid niche. Food/Cocktail promotion, which involves my photography, and web development skillsets. Spent the first 1.5 years, working on all of the relationships with bartenders/restaurateurs/chefs, promoting their work through instagram and the web. Becoming the largest promoter in the area. Now I'm ready to start rolling out the second phase, involving web software. So while not totally out of IT, I've definitely branched into something much more enjoyable. Eating delicious, meeting tons of new people, has been rewarding.
