I have an android phone - the nexus 5 and it's a total shitbag right now. It seems like it's slowed down massively. I can't imagine this is only apple.

- rhizome 9y agoI also still use a stock N5 and I've noticed it really taking a nosedive over the past few months.
- post_break 9y agoThe nand memory could be degrading.
- viraptor 9y agoThere's an issue with earlier nexus phones and nand degradation. Lack of TRIM really killed them over time unfortunately. Running some write/read benchmark app and comparing the results against published numbers (like http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/20/anandtech-posts-side-by-side-nand-performance-for-nexus-6-encrypted-vs-unencrypted-its-not-pretty/ http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/20/anandtech-posts-side... ) could (dis-)prove that's the case.
