I agree completely. However, I have a gut intuition that the best way to teach people "critical thinking" is a good, old fashioned, broad eduction in the arts and sciences. Math, Literature, Composition, Philosophy, Art, Physics, History, etc. We might not need to do anything new. Just do the old things well.
