- zxcmx 9y agoGiven that it's a used car, and under the assumption that every electric km driven is displacing a fuel km driven, why would this be true?
- icegreentea2 9y agoDepends on the likelihood that had OP not purchased the vehicle, that the person who would would be using it to replace their own end of life car. Also depends on how likely the OP will drive their gasoline car to completion. Basically all comes down to how much the energy/carbon/pollution cost of the gasoline vehicle will be amortized over its useful life.
- Spooky23 9y agoAre you married? Have kids? Good luck with one car. If you don’t, you won’t be living in an urban environment when you do, because you’ll want your kids to have a good education. You also won’t have money to waste on Uber.
- tonyedgecombe 9y agoWe live in a rural area with one car, kids got a fantastic education, there is no Uber within 75 miles, not everywhere is so car dependent as America.
- manmal 9y agoWe have an SW car and an e-powered cargo bike, and that’s enough. 2 little kids, and I play in a band. And we do live in an area where you have to have a vehicle. It’s doable. I mostly use one of the bikes to commute (either to the train, 4km away, or 2nd office, 3km away).
