- cardamomo 9y agoThe problem NYC is facing isn't the tech. The MTA's tunnel-boring machines can be operated with far fewer people.
- mc32 9y agoThere was initial skepticism regarding Musk's predicted [reduced] costs --perhaps he was taking into account the removal of all these excess construction costs much of the public isn't privy to.

- venomsnake 9y agoBoring itself is highly optimized - the oil industry likes their holes long, stable and cheap. So the tech is there. It is the other stuff that bogs down a project.
