Most of the "green behavior" in the article is more about class signaling than about actually preserving the environment. Recycling[1], bag reuse[2], and similar behaviors in general don't actually make a significant difference. They might even be more hurtful than helpful.

- cjwhite 9y agoAs for the bags at least, that's absolutely not what that article says. In fact, that article doesn't take into account the littering of plastic bags. But sure, I'll grant that if you're the type to reuse bags, you probably aren't the type to litter the plastic ones in the first place.
