I think a major mistake Apple made was assuming that it's iPhone base would be willing to accept change so quickly coupled with the fact that they charge 1000 dollars for the phone. I think psychologically , that number bothers people. It would be interesting to see what age most iPhone users are. I know plenty of elderly people in their 70s and early 80s in the U.S., who have an iPhone because it is super simple to use. The iPhone X, with it's gestures, not so much, but what do I know.
