Is the two week notice period defined by law? Otherwise it would be enough to agree on a different notice period in the employment contract. I (not in the US)

Is the two week notice period defined by law? Otherwise it would be enough to agree on a different notice period in the employment contract. I (not in the US) have three months notice, which is plenty of time for me to find a new job, or for my employer to find a replacement.
