Great article. I fully agree with the author that the way one handles resignations and terminations says a lot about the character of the individual or company. When I left my last corporate job to start my company I gave them six weeks notice and used this opportunity to train another team member so there would be continuity. On the flip side we had to fire a non-performing employee earlier this year and we gave him eight weeks of full pay and decided officially to lay him off so that he could collect unemployment if need be.
