    The trend for a lot of bars to have hardwood floors that don't deaden sound that well and causes bar staff hearing problems is not a first world problem its the same problem as say hearing loss in a gold miner in Africa for example

    I'm not completely sure that I'd actually call it a "problem" though. I'm usually completely oblivious to it until I hear something that I can hum along to. The last two I can think of are my wife's comments about some particular singer's song that's been playing a lot this Christmas season, and about a month ago when I was humming along to some Muse in a pizza parlor.
