Also because of nuclear weapons noone dares to intervene when countries like the US or Russia invade other countries (e.g. Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine). At worst they get a slap on the wrist from the UN, but they have permanent veto rights there too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
