If the equity premium is indeed going to be lower for the next few decades, then you should start to see increasing dividends to reward stockholders. We might have to get out of the "holy shit I gained 400% on this stock in 6 months" mentality and instead start learning that an income producing basket of dividend stocks at 6% is the way to save for retirement.
