Jupyter-radare2 – A simple Radare2 Jupyter kernel for tutorials or taking notes
- hjek 9y agoI was trying to use radare2 some time ago when reverse engineering a printer driver. I couldn't grok it, so I gave up and just used `hd` and `grep`.
- yjftsjthsd-h 9y agoWhat's `hd` in this context?
- hjek 9y agoIt's hexdump. It outputs a hexdump alongside ASCII rendering (when possible) of a file. In Debian it's in the `bsdmainutils` package. I found it very useful for doing the initial guess work about the binary printer control language I was looking at.
- feelin_googley 9y agoTry ired from same author; scriptable hex editor than can, among other things, search hex or ascii strings and output offsets; can read input and commands from stdin.
- strangecasts 9y agoHave you checked out the cutter GUI (https://github.com/radareorg/cutter https://github.com/radareorg/cutter)? I found it helped a bit for me.
- hjek 9y ago> Cutter is not aimed at existing radare2 users. It instead focuses on those whose are not yet radare2 users because of the learning curve, because they don't like CLI applications or because of the difficulty/instability of radare2. That's what I was looking for. (I do like CLI applications though.) Thanks.
- mynegation 9y agoFor those who - like me - expected to see a link to radare in the README, it is the set of reverse engineering tools for Linux. http://www.radare.org/r/ http://www.radare.org/r/
- guedou 9y agoLinks added! Thanks for the feedback.
