This is not my experience with Apple. I had to fight incredibly hard for them to fix something that was under warrantee because I bought it online in HK and then wanted it fixed in the UK. It was one of the most painful support experiences I've ever had.

I had my HK iPhone serviced in the UK, but this may be down to different bands for different models?
