Ask HN: Home-rolled Google Analytics tracking?

I've recently become familiar with automatic logging of AWS access logs to S3--are there any existing JavaScript client libraries for sending beacon HTTP requests to be logged in this way? And then performing simple AWS Athena or Redshift queries against the access log data?
