With COBRA, you can keep your health insurance (of course you have to pay for it) even if you quit/get-fired. I don't know about you, but I've never quit my job just because a situation turned sour. There have been cases where I said "ok, it's time to look for a new job." But never "Take this job and shove it - I quit!"
