Fascinating every time I read about it. Found a nice infographic: http://2oqz471sa19h3vbwa53m33yj.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/kowloon-wal

Thanks for sharing this infographic. Today is the first time I've ever heard about Kowloon Walled City. I was immediately intrigued, because it looks like something out of science fiction. It reminds me of just how breathtakingly diverse the human experience can be.

I first heard about it in a cyberpunk video game, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, and learned today that it is real. It felt like truly something out of science fiction back when I was playing the game.

Its the other way around, science fiction drew inspiration from Kowloon. For example Ghost in the Shell is set in a straight copy of mid nineties Hong Kong. https://io9.gizmodo.com/5827538/gorgeous-shots-of-the-real-life-hong-kong-locations-featured-in-ghost-in-the-shell https://io9.gizmodo.com/5827538/gorgeous-shots-of-the-real-l... Some scenes can even be traced shot for shot with real locations, including unreal Kai Yak airport landing approach over kowloon https://vimeo.com/33731256 https://vimeo.com/33731256

And this seems to be the source of the infographic you found (the artist is Adolfo Arranz): http://lasombra.blogs.com/la_sombra_del_asno/2013/03/kwc.html http://lasombra.blogs.com/la_sombra_del_asno/2013/03/kwc.htm...
