- TheCoelacanth 9y agoIt is a pretty common state level rule, although one that most drivers don't know about.
- nostrademons 9y agoIt's a state law. Threw me for a loop when I moved from Boston (where this behavior is illegal) to California (where not doing this is illegal), but it's in the CA driving handbook and on the driving test to get your CA license.
