VHS tape with arm half extended is actually the exact size I calculate for hololens, given the field of view of the hololens is 30°x17°, and an outstretched arm's distance is 35cm:
2 * tan(30 degrees / 2) * 35cm = 188mm
2 * tan(17 degrees / 2) * 35cm = 105mm
A VHS tape is 187mm x 103mm.
