These are good news. Taxi sector is beyond screwed, we need better and cheaper services. I’m happy to see a successful and respectful company like Uber being the one leading the movement.
- djsumdog 9y agoThey provide that service by undercutting Taxis at a loss. I hope you're being sarcastic. Uber is anything by respectful .. and successful I guess in size, but not looking at their bottom line.
- pishpash 9y agoUndercutting taxis and at a loss are two separate issues. Taxis are overpriced in the US with or without Uber.
- briandear 9y agoTaxis earned their plight. I am still waiting for €50 refund for a pre-paid train station taxi booked through SCNF that never arrived. This whole nasty and violent attitude from French can drivers is also unacceptable. During their protests they actually attacked people with rocks and set cars on fire — while still trying to scheme and cheat passengers whenever possible. I hope taxis all fail.
