If I wasn't doing dev for Linux targets, the move wouldn't be as painful as it is. WSL absolutely does not get the job done, and it messes with things you create in a way that you can't really use it for deployment stuff as you'll always be doing fixing after you move stuff from WSL -> target. My solution? run a full Linux VM. I'd run Linux natively if it weren't for a customer who won't allow Linux clients to connect to their VPN.
