Public sentiment towards these sites is changing, with revelations about James Damore, Russian propaganda, Alexa being an overtly feminist Black Lives Matter supporter[1], and many other things like this. Like it or not, culture matters. The fact that all of these powerful sites are blatantly picking sides while at the same time accruing massive amounts of power is inevitably going to gain attention from legislators.
