Apple TV as an iOS system wouldn't make very much sense, at least not using the same App Store. TVs aren't touch-sensitive, after all.

- glhaynes 16y agoWhat's Google's plan for Android apps on Google TV?
- andfarm 16y agoAndroid is, at least, designed with some degree of variation in hardware specs baked in. Dealing with something as weird as a TV would be a stretch, but it would at least be an extension of existing behavior. iOS, on the other hand, is designed to run on a few specific devices. The iPad required some work from developers for full support — and that was for a device which still closely resembled the existing iPhone and iPod Touch.

- woodall 16y agoThere are many features that one would presume the iTV would be missing. These include an accelerometer, touch screen, GPS, camera* and 3G connection. It will be interesting to see if there is any truth to it. *I could imagine a camera as it could be used as an input device for FaceTime or even gesture tracking.
