- verbify 9y agoHe used to federate, he said he reckons he lost a year of development in the attempt. His argument is federation makes change difficult - and a private company can centralise the protocol (like Slack or WhatsApp) leading to a better user experience because they're not tied to getting everyone to agree to a change.
