I think that attitude suggests you may have sub-normal acquaintances. I, for example, am not acquainted with anyone who doubts that women are people.
In the US 91% of people rate gender equality (that men and women should have the same rights) as being "very important". The ideas that men think of women as less than men, but also think it's very important they have equal rights are hard to reconcile.
I find your view perverse and lacking resemblance to reality.
