Civilization will survive just fine without the burden of enabling idiots. Civilization wasn't invented in 1970, it has existed for millennia.
- beaconstudios 9y agoFree speech isn't about enabling idiots to have their soapbox as an end, it's about them having their soapbox so someone in the audience can rationally destroy their arguments publicly. Oppressing speech means that good ideas might be missing review and bad ideas are certainly missing criticism.
