Until it snows

  Snow can be effectively invisible to a beam when wavelengths are larger than snowflakes (i.e. microwave range: broadly defined as lengths between 1mm and 1m.) What confounds line-of-sight isn't "until it snows" but "until something/someone has to move around". :)
