I mean we shouldn't kid ourselves, this forum is maintained, and funded, because it is of financial benefit to YC (in many different ways). Not because of some higher ideal.
- DoreenMichele 9y agoI have zero problem with HN being of financial benefit to YC. In fact, I have repeatedly said that I think this is exactly why it is able to sustain a standard of excellence. HN becoming the personal platform for the new YC president's political aspirations and personal pet social theories does not appear to me to be of any financial benefit to YC.
