You seem to forget that humans are pretty vunerable to making bad choices, both individually bad and collectively bad. By helping eachother in weak moments, building correcting and preventive systems using culture and technology we manage to do better that we could do entirely on our own. Blame is not useful, agreed. Always have to do ones best with that cards one has been dealt. Including helping others, and letting others help you.
