I believe that small business commerce is primarily conducted online in the United States (by majority, if you look at platforms like Etsy, eBay, and Shoppify as a few examples). These business owners and their employees rely on the income generated by their businesses for survival, and the long term effects of a repeal of net neutrality endangers these businesses. Yes, most of us think of funny cat pictures when thinking of the Internet, but it is a modern institution that nearly all of us rely on, every day, to function. While it might seem, on the surface, petty to compare the plight of French revolutionaries with our current dilemma, the repeal of net neutrality definitely endangers my ability to bring home food for myself and pay for housing. It is against my wishes, and I believe against the wishes of most citizens of the USA (of those that have opinions).
