Until reading this comment, I didn't know they had a patreon page. As far as I can tell, it's not linked from the front page of brew.sh. It is linked down at the bottom of the README on github though.
Anyway, that number would probably be higher if it were advertised more.

- jerrre 9y agoNot at all saying that this is happening here, but this made me wonder: would there be fake Patreons accounts? How much verification is done?
- greggman 9y agoPatreon doesnt seem to do much checking of anything. There are patreon users getting money by copying the content of other patreon users and aggrigating it. So far patreon has done nothing. There are also patreon accounts just posting links to torrents and no movement from Patreon
- judge2020 9y agoPatreon attempts to charge new subscribers as soon as they sign up to give to a page, so if a charge bounces back the numbers dont go up. Existing members are removed as soon as their card declines the transaction.
