Exactly. I've worked for a couple of charities at a discount, because I was working with people who wanted to help others, and it showed. Nobody was raking in the big bucks. If I was offered a position somewhere that actively took "hits" for their customers and/or employees, I might stick around. As it is, everyone above me is looking for a payday, and paying me less makes theirs better.
