I guess I am just the opposite. I used to love solving Euler problems and I was solving it when I was younger and had a job. It was a big escape for me from reality. When I want to solve something in my free time or steal some time when I am at work I like problem preciseness like PE. This helps me focus for hours on end unlike real world problems which I usually have to break down into smaller parts to solve.
