The author is ~25 years old and requested when she was ~20 and still in school. It is completely fair to deny the operation at that age citing that she might change her mind. Now the woman who is 29 and married is a different story, but her personal example seems like a poor one. I do support the author's point, but not for 20 year olds. She should've explored the difference between men and women more!
