- delackner 16y agoWould one possible explanation for a country to have a very high suicide rate but also a high happiness index be survivorship bias? The winter depression might be so harsh that it pushes the unhappy off the edge, and the remaining population consists of those who are just so happy that it doesn't bother them. I suspect though that someone with more knowledge would find this argument a bit vapid.
