Time to short some futures ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ /s In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if a group of high-net-worth individuals go short (exactly how you described) in order to shake out all the inexperienced traders/investors in the space for a nice profit. Also, could it not just be CME preparing the underlyings?
