Ask HN: What advice you give to survive in IT after certain experience?
After some experience I feel my career is stagnant. During my carrer I went only deep in the technology (only one language and only my area). I work mostly in iOS.
Should I learn front end and other technologies and go wide?
What advice you give in this tensed time in IT. The competition is growing and it is hard to find the better pay jobs. Lot of companies not giving high money in my area.
- brudgers 9y agoMaybe you need a job doing something different that lets you learn new skills more than you need a better paying job. Money is valuable, but so is doing work one enjoys. Learning new skills while looking for a different job is an option. Most of what makes a person productive is not narrow skills like "iOS". What makes people productive is their experience applying technology to solve technical problems.
