If you go back to Ancient times, we used to capture men and then watch those same men be eaten by lions alive. I firmly believe that while we outlawed that type of entertainment, it is very much alive within all of us. It is human nature and while we willingly admit that we would hate to see anyone be harmed or killed, there might be a secret desire in all of us to actually enjoy seeing it without having to actually experience it. In modern times, we have movies that portray this for us. But we also have mostly nonlethal forms of entertainment as well, of which most of the time, two teams are pitted against each other. While we actually don't desire the harm that may come of it, we still enjoy the entertainment it brings.
