I wanted to go to college, but couldn't get a loan. Its easy for people who's parents already participate fully in the credit market-but for people like myself who's parents are poor and don't use credit for anything, it wasn't an option.
- treyfitty 9y agoMy parents were poor. I went to school for dirt cheap at a state school. My cousin went to Princeton for free because his parents didn’t make enough income (the income limit was quite generous, at less than $100k per household in NY). Being poor, in hindsight, was a blessing.
