In the end, I mostly got lucky. I thought it was world changing tech, but I definitely didn't see the ICO boom coming. I thought prediction markets and decentralized markets would drive the price up, but those never seemed to materialize. Which is a shame, because thats what I'd rather see. There's still time, of course.
Its been an amazing ride, but also a huge kick in the balls making more money while you sleep than working your whole life. It certainly changes your view on things.
- whamlastxmas 9y agoYou retiring or do anything interesting with the money?
- cryptorich 9y agoUsing the money to give myself the time/space to work on other projects. The nice thing about the money is I can focus on projects that require months/years of development (rather than projects that I would need to wrap up within weeks). I'm looking into a bigger place and get a dog but other than that not much.
- whamlastxmas 9y agoHeck I just saved up a small amount, drastically reduced my expenses, and have done the same thing. No need to be a bitcoin millionaire to do that! Are you hoping your projects will turn a profit eventually?

I guess having a 'fuck you' amount of money would probably make you just work on your own projects full time instead of working for a boss.
- cryptorich 9y agoYup. Thats essentially the plan.
