I haven't dug through the project source either, so I'm uncertain of its quality level. Fuchsia [2] looks very promising. Not everything is documented yet, but many of the parts which have docs are great. It's a bit of a rabbit hole though; when I first encountered it I spent a long time reading through their docs and poking around.
