I still remember TV news about the Gulf War. I was a 6 year old kid (in Germany) and still remember being horrified by the news that people have to use gas masks and that an elderly woman died because she did not remove tape (or something) from the filter and suffocated.
- dvirsky 9y agoYes, most fatalities in Israel were people suffocating by not removing the sealing cap off their gas masks (and probably attributing their suffocation to being gassed, thus not removing the mask), or heart attacks. 95 people died from such causes, and only 3 people as a direct result of the missiles. Which BTW is pretty crazy considering the amount of damage they did - but most people living in the Tel Aviv area simply left home for a few weeks.
