Ahh the pedway. A lovely idea, but every piece of it is in different shape. Some bits are nice (Illinois Center), but others are super dumpy (from Macy's to Millennium Station), and anything in between. I hope this attention from the Architecture Biennial will result in some new interest and cash to freshen it up a bit. Because right now it's just raw and utilitarian, in that unsentimental way that Chicago infrastructure tends to be... :)
