      Cheques vs the money written on them. The cheque is worthless by itself.

      Not so much. I spent a chunk of 2009-2010 hanging around with British bitcoin enthusiasts. It was predicated on greater fools then and it still is.

  It really feels like there has to be a bubble inflating. If this isn't a bubble, then what on earth is happening? People don't seem to be spending it.
