I have a 2008 Black MacBook (the BlackBook). I couldn't find much in the way of installing anything on it (I'd honestly looked at Ubuntu and Debian). I found this for FreeBSD (https://wiki.freebsd.org/AppleMacbook#Apple_MacBook_support_on_FreeBSD https://wiki.freebsd.org/AppleMacbook#Apple_MacBook_support_...). Maybe I'll give it another shot.
