I've been using a 44" 4K TV for around two years as my main monitor and it's been great. The only very minor pain point is having to manually turn the TV off and on via the remote in the right order so that Windows 10 doesn't reset my window layout. The Visio TV I use has 1 of the 5 HDMI ports set aside to not route through its image processor which means text stays very clear.
