Right, it certainly seems that feelings exist to motivate certain behaviors, if nothing else. Anybody who thinks about their own behaviors should readily confirm this. Yeah, I just don't have a good answer for it other than to bite the bullet and say its just a crazy coincidence. The incentives of our unconscious brain are roughly aligned with what feels good. But it doesn't seem satisfactory to me either.
