I would tend to think of it as a positive filter meaning anyone who would be put off by it isn't someone you want to work for anyway. Would you want to work for a company that expects you to apologise for having had a job in the "adult space" or is so up tight that they're bothered by it? Take the job then put it on your resume in bold :D At least that way any job offers you get will be from secure people who may actually be nice to be around.
