- mort96 9y agoI'm not sure if anyone has ever claimed that open source is a guaranteed protection against every security bug. Besides, this wasn't a security bug, was it? It corrupted the filesystem, it didn't give anyone else any undesired access did it?
- PopsiclePete 9y agoAnd you are "proving the point" that humans are fallible and make mistakes and "open source" never meant, and can't mean, that the code is magically of better quality?
- yjftsjthsd-h 9y agoGiven the response time, I would say that this is an amazing example of the protection that open source provides.
- chris_wot 9y agoWhat security bug? It was a corruption bug.
