Is there any article explaining the Chinese point of view? I'd like to know what they're hoping to accomplish by banning apps.
- alexbeloi 9y agoTwo public reasons that are commonly given * controlling data about Chinese citizens from going outside of Chinese control (e.g. onto international/US servers where it can be subpeona'd by the foreign government host) * protecting local industries from foreign competition
